Packaging for Quality, Safety and Convenience
We supply our chemicals in a wide range of innovative packaging designed to ensure you receive our products safely. The packaging is also developed to support environmental protection, convenience of handling and storage while continuously maintaining the level of quality of the chemical itself.

Benefits of our packaging:

Most plastic and glass liquid containers are supplied with moulded 45mm DIN necks, which help reduce the risk of ‘liquid surge’ when pouring.
All UN approved powder jars are manufactured from HDPE and designed with wide necks for easy dispensing.

Product Range

Many Fisher Chemical acids and solutions are supplied in UN approved HDPE containers, which are both light and virtually unbreakable.
We supply selected products in plastic coated glass bottles, known as Contain™. These add to safety levels by minimising the risk of breakage.
All Fisher Chemical containers are supplied with tamper evident seals.

Transport Packaging
The safe handling of our chemicals by both user and transporter is our prime concern. All of our hazardous chemicals are contained in UN approved packaging.

Our chemicals are transported using packaging that uses recycled paper as an inner mould. This fibreboard combination pack carries UN approval and is used to transport most hazardous chemicals packed in 1L and 2.5L glass bottles.

Recycling
As an ISO 14001 certified company we continuously seek new opportunities to recycle or reuse our packaging. Our commitment to environmentally friendly procedures is emphasised as follows:

Glass bottles are washed and reused or broken down for cullet, which is sent for manufacturing more bottles. We ensure the quality of our washed bottles by analysing samples from each batch. This ensures there is no contamination of the final product.
Plastic bottles are recycled and used in the manufacture of underground gas piping
Stainless steel drums are used for high volume purchases. These can be reused many times, and an assured cleaning procedure and inspection guarantees that there is no contamination of the product supplied to the customer.
Cardboard and pulp components can either be reused or sent for recycling into pulp for further cardboard manufacturing.
As part of our ongoing commitment to recycling, we use a biodegradable packing material called Greenfill as an environmentally friendly alternative to polystyrene loose filling. This material is reusable and can be burned as a fuel or composted.
