Decon cleaning tips Clean soiled items immediately after use - Do not allow soiling to remain on equipment for long periods prior to cleaning. Prepare accurate, well mixed solutions - Too weak a cleaning solution will not do the job. Too strong a solution is uneconomical. Fully immerse items to be cleaned - Any part of the item being cleaned which is not immersed in the cleaning solution will remain solied/contaminated. Allow sufficient cleaning time - Soaking for a minimum of 2 hours is usually necessary, and up to a maximum of 24 hours for the most tenacious contaminants. Heat the cleaning solution - If practical, to reduce the cleaning time . Temperatures between 40C and 50C are ideal for most applications. Ultrasonic cleaning - The combination of decon cleaning agents in Ultrasonic Cleaning Baths, provides the ultimate cleaning system. Dry - Immediately after rinsing. Use a lint-free cloth or heated air stream etc. Experiment - Take the time to find the correct combination of solution strength, working temperature, cleaning time and rinsing routine. Experimentation will quickly establish the ideal procedure for your applications.
