A. The
catalogue has the following search parameters and
searches can be refined by using the search tips listed
under each parameter below.
By clicking on this box, and selecting a catalogue
name you will reduce the range of products over which
the search will take place. As an example; selecting
Chromatography will reduce the range of products to
those within the chromatography catalogue, approximately
5000.
In this box you can enter a part number, or fragment
of a part number, for the product you are interested
in. This part number, or fragment, can be either,
a Fisher part number, or a suppliers part number.
Each of the Fisher products has the capability to
support four other part numbers from other suppliers.
An example might be BNB-294-090F or 2110614, both
relate to the same 25ml glass beaker. If an entry
is made in this box it will override all other entries
made in the keyword and brand/manufacturer boxes.
In this box you can enter a description of the product
you are interested in. The sequence of the words you
enter is not important ie 'glass beaker 50ml' will
return the same products as 'beaker glass 50ml'. The
following are some examples that illustrate how the
keyword can be used to extract smaller ranges of products.
Each of the descriptive words does not need to be
used in full, 'coni fla' is sufficient for conical
flask.
| Keyword
Entry |
Result |
Beaker
pack |

packs of beakers, no single items. |
Balance

electrical items, no mechanical balances. |
Balance
2000 x 0.1 |

with a 2000g maximum and 0.1g division. |
"ph
meter" |
Returns only ph
meter not products with ph and meter in the description.
|
Cent
rpm |
Returns centrifuge
equipment no consumables ie tubes |
To support the keyword data a brand or manufacturer
can be entered in this box. This provides an additional
level of data filtering when performing the initial
search.
If this box is checked the search will return all
replaced/withdrawn products along with the normal
search results. The replaced/withdrawn products are
shown in grey text with two asterisks (**) to highlight
them.
